Sultanas are golden raisins made from seedless green grapes, traditionally dried in sunny regions such as Turkey, Greece and Iran. In the cup they add a soft, honeyed sweetness with rich, mellow notes of dried fruit and caramel. Sultanas work well in fruit blends, rooibos and black tea, and they are a natural partner for apple, cinnamon, almond and other baking spices. Blends with sultanas taste especially cozy in winter, recalling fruitcake and holiday baking.
