Description
Li Shan High Mountain – Pure, Fruity "Pear Mountain" OolongA lovely example of Taiwanese high-mountain oolong! Li Shan High Mountain is grown atop Li Shan — literally "Pear Mountain" — part of the highest mountain ranges in beautiful Taiwan. The oolong tea plants thrive in the cool, wet temperatures common throughout the region, growing slowly to develop remarkable sweetness and depth. Known for its purity in color, aroma and taste, Li Shan oolong is produced to preserve that purity as much as possible. Only the slightest roast is applied, keeping the leaves fresh while accentuating the gently sweet taste oolongs are known for. The tea bushes grow among naturally growing fruit trees, and it's said that the leaves absorb a multitude of flavors — most distinctively, a subtle essence of pear. Tasting Notes
